She is an art collector.
She's got art, almost everywhere,
on her person,
between her toes
within the roots of her hair.
The day I found her,
third week of Fall,
she was walking
before a mosaic wall,
and with my glasses
before my eyes
I saw her fuse
into the tiles:
She was one.
She was indistinguishable:
o one.
She is an art collector.
She's got art, almost everywhere,
in her rooms,
stuck to her white, white walls,
streaming like a river
down her stairs.
The day I told her
she was beautiful
she said: "I've no talent
and I've no skills"
but as she said this
her words shaped
and bent to the tune
playing on the tape:
She was one,
indistinguishable
o one,
indistinguishable
one
indistinguishable...
She is an art collector.
She can't paint or sculpt like a great.
Can't play a violin
or sing an opera,
but she can wear one
around like a cape.
(wear it like a cape)
(o the rain).
I never once
realized
how selfish this was,
how small in size.
All this art
turning into debris,
and there she gets it
much more than me.
She is...
